Medicaid Citizenship Documentation Resources

A new Medicaid program rule, required by a federal law, means that many US citizens who apply for or renew Medicaid coverage must provide documentation on the citizenship and identity of everyone who will get health coverage, including children, parents, and pregnant women. The rule, which went into effect on July 1, will affect most HUSKY A applicants and members. The fact sheets and briefs below provide background information on the new regulations, problems they will cause, who they will affect, and how to help families. More resources will be added as they become available. Please check back for updates and revisions.
